Benjamin first heard about the Sparkle Appeal after perfoming at another charity event and wanted to do his little bit to help. He was absolutley delighted when he was invited to perform on their stand at the National Eisteddfod of Wales 2004.

Benjamin played his harp at regular intervals and helped to collect donations on Sunday 1 August & Wednesday 4 August 2004. To help raise some extra money he also sold copies of his CD single Ben Jamming. £2.00 of the cover price goes to BBC Children in Need and for each CD sold during the Eistedfodd a further £1.00 went to the Sparkle Appeal.

Benjamin's mum, Jane Groves, & his Godmother Eluned Scourfield who perform as Mwynion Mai Flute & Harp Duo also said that for each copy of their CD of traditional Welsh melodies, Ar Lan y Dwr, which was sold at the Eisteddfodd they would donate £6.00 to the Sparkle Appeal.
