Benjamin has received an amazing amount of support from professional harpists across the world. However I would particularly like to mention Deborah, because if she had not written New Blues Benjamin may not have been so desperate to learn the harp.

After hearing about Benjamin's 2002 concert for BBC Children in Need Deborah sent 4 signed CD albums for the raffle together with a lovely letter and a signed poster for Benjamin.

Deborah has also been helping Benjamin by mentioning his CD in her Newsletter and linking to the video of him playing New Blues filmed in May 2003.

Benjamin and Deborah have been exchanging e-mail ever since but his wish came true in April 2006 when he saw her perform live at the Wales International Festival.

The previous day Benjamin had taken a workshop with Deborah which he thought was fantastic. Then on the day of the concert, he found out that as one of the competition winners Benjamin was invited to perform at the start of Deborah's concert, this was a great honour but more was to come ..... During the interval we went back stage to collect Benjamin's harp and Deborah said - "Hey, we have not played New Blues together" so they had a jam during the interval. Then Benjamin could not believe his ears when Deborah said - "That was great, let's do it again but during the concert" - what a great time they had, it must be one of the highlights of his life.
